100mm Land Drain Pre-loaded Geotextile Filter Sock Sleeve Wrap

This 100mm land drain preloaded geotextile filter sock sleeve is pre-wrapped on a cardboard applicator for easy loading and comes supplied in 30mtr lengths. Suitable to wrap 100mm perforated land drain pipes. Alongside single-wall land drainage pipes, you can also use these geotextile socks for various types of perforated pipe drainage including straight wall and corrugated HDPE, PVC, aluminium and steel. For ease of installation, we advise using the preloaded geotextile for pipes of at least 9 metres in length or longer. Installing pre loaded geotextile is a simple and easy to do. Starting with the outlet end of the pipe, simply:

• Fully expand the cardboard into a square and sleeve it over the end of the pipe


• At the outlet end of the pipe tie a knot in the filter


• While maintaining tension on the sock, slide the cardboard applicator over the length of the pipe


• Remove the cardboard from the pipe


• Leaving the outlet end open, untie the knot in the filter

Made from polyester material, this seamless permeable geotextile membrane will allow water to pass through the geotextile sleeve into the perforated land drain pipe which will ensure a continuous flow of water. Created with a knitted design, this geotextile sock wrap prevents soil, silt and sandy particles making their way into the land drain pipe which can cause unnecessary clogs and maintenance overtime. Any tiny particles that make it through the land drain filter sock will be eventually discharged from the land drainage pipe when traveling with the water flow.

Historically, you would need multiple people to help assist measure around the land drain and then make sure the geotextile is secure in place. These socks eliminate any cutting mistakes and potential excess wastage compared to the original oversized geotextile sheets.
