ENATS stands for the Energy Network Association Technical Specification. This 150mm ID / 178mm OD twinwall ducting is Class 2 ENATS 12/24 approved, comes in a 6mtr length and complete with one coupler to connect multiple lengths together. The duct is black in colour, stamped ‘Electric Cable Duct’ due to its purpose for electricity cables underground and usually specified for particular projects. Made from HDPE, this product is lightweight which is great for transportation. Unlike ducting coils, Drawcord is supplied separately.

This twinwall duct has two walls. The internal wall is smooth allowing cables/pipes to be pulled through easily and prevent snagging, whereas the external wall is corrugated which can withstand high compressive forces and gives added strength during installation. Rigid ducting is stronger than flexible ducting, making it ideal for use beneath pathways or roads, or where deeper underground installation is required.

Manufactured in the UK by Naylor, provides the installer with a reliable product that will perform. It is not recommended to store this product outside in direct sunlight longer than 12 months, due to UV degradation which can cause damage.

If you plan to run any type of service underground, it should be running inside a duct system. A duct is designed to protect the service cable or pipe from damage and alert others to the presence of duct in the ground. Marker tapes are commonly used as additional indications, alerting present service cables or pipes. Your duct system may also need duct access chambers depending on your project, which come in a various sizes to suit.
