This ball valve is designed to cut off the flow within the pipeline and features a double union FI female threaded socket at each end. Suitable for use in potable water systems, this ball valve is a quality fitting made from PVC. For use with imperial fittings, however if you wish to convert from imperial to metric you will need to use a suitable MI male threaded fitting adaptor, allowing you to then connect your metric MDPE pipe.
We recommend all threaded fittings to be used with PTFE Tape and where MDPE pipes are used, you should install pipe liners of the same diameter of pipe you are using. We advise to always try to minimise the amount of joints used on any MDPE water installation wherever possible.
Threaded PVC Ball Valve are available in the following sizes:
3/4” Ball Valve (Double Union FI x FI) |
1” Ball Valve (Double Union FI x FI) |
1 1/2” Ball Valve (Double Union FI x FI) |
2” Ball Valve (Double Union FI x FI) |

If you plan to run any water service underground, we would always recommend that the water pipe is buried in the ground inside a blue water duct system. A duct is designed to protect the pipe from damage and alert others to the presence of duct in the ground. Water caution marker tapes are commonly used as additional indications, alerting presence of the pipes. If this is your first time installing ducting, we would always recommend attaching a second drawcord to your pipe as this will enable you to easily install replacements at any point in the future, if required. Your duct system may also need duct access chambers depending on your project, which come in a various sizes to suit.
