The Fernco AC6000 Flexible Adaptor Coupling, previously branded as Flexseal, is designed to connect drainage pipes with different outside diameters, making it ideal for joining larger pipes to smaller pipes and vice versa. Sometimes referred to as a reducer coupling, this adaptor provides a versatile solution for unadopted drainage systems.

Each adaptor coupling is constructed from three main components: a stepped EPDM rubber body molded with two different diameters to fit pipes of 180-200mm on one side and 160-180mm on the other, plus two stainless steel clamp bands. Once positioned on the pipes, the clamp bands are tightened with a nut driver and torque wrench to create an airtight and watertight seal, securing the connection within seconds.
