This MDPE pipe liner is designed to protect your MDPE water pipe from being crushed when using compression/mechanical fittings. Also known as a Pipe Stiffener or a Pipe Insert, you should be using one pipe liner for each connection. For instance, a 25mm MDPE Coupler would need two 25mm Pipe Liners. A 32mm MDPE Tee, will need three 32mm Pipe Liners. The pipe liners are WRAS approved and are inserted inside the pipe. We would always recommend using Pipe Liners when installing any MDPE of sizes 63mm or less. Anything larger does not require a pipe liner, as the wall thickness in larger pipe is usually thick enough to withstand any crushing.
MDPE Pipe Liners are available in the following sizes:
20mm Pipe Line (for use with 20mm MDPE) |
25mm Pipe Line (for use with 25mm MDPE) |
32mm Pipe Line (for use with 32mm MDPE) |
50mm Pipe Line (for use with 50mm MDPE) |
63mm Pipe Line (for use with 63mm MDPE) |

If you plan to run any water service underground, we would always recommend that the water pipe is buried in the ground inside a blue water duct system. A duct is designed to protect the pipe from damage and alert others to the presence of duct in the ground. Water caution marker tapes are commonly used as additional indications, alerting presence of the pipes. If this is your first time installing ducting, we would always recommend attaching a second drawcord to your pipe as this will enable you to easily install replacements at any point in the future, if required. Your duct system may also need duct access chambers depending on your project, which come in a various sizes to suit.
