This MDPE water compression stoptap has a shut off value which is designed to cut off the flow in MDPE water pipes. Suitable for use in above & below ground applications, this MDPE stop tap valve is a quality fitting made from polypropylene. Also known as a stopcock, this mechanical fitting is always recommended to be installed with pipe liners of the same diameter of pipe you are using.
All of our MDPE compression fittings can be used on either blue (potable) MDPE water pipe or black (non-potable) MDPE water pipe. This fitting is WRAS approved and is able to withstand working pressures of up to 16bar / PN 16, allowing the regulation of flow. This MDPE compression range is fast and simple to use and includes the captive nitrile rubber O-ring seal, achieving a sealed system and providing protection against leaks. We recommend always trying to minimise the amount of joints used on any MDPE water installation wherever possible.
MDPE Water Compression Stop Cock are available in the following sizes:
20mm Stop Tap (to stop the flow of 20mm MDPE) |
25mm Stop Tap (to stop the flow of 25mm MDPE) |

If you plan to run any water service underground, we would always recommend that the water pipe is buried in the ground inside a blue water duct system. A duct is designed to protect the pipe from damage and alert others to the presence of duct in the ground. Water caution marker tapes are commonly used as additional indications, alerting presence of the pipes. If this is your first time installing ducting, we would always recommend attaching a second drawcord to your pipe as this will enable you to easily install replacements at any point in the future, if required. Your duct system may also need duct access chambers depending on your project, which come in a various sizes to suit.
