MDPE Water Compression Wall Plate Elbow Plastic

This plastic wall plate elbow is designed to connect MDPE water pipe to an outside tap fitting (Hose Union Bibcock). It features a 90 degree bend, a compression inlet connection and a threaded outlet connection.

The flange part of the fitting is securely screwed back to a support with a flat surface, such as brickwork or a post. The hose union tap which has a BSP male thread is then screwed into the female socket of the fitting. The MDPE is connected into the compression end of the fitting and we would advise a pipe liner to always be used with MDPE.

All of our MDPE compression fittings can be used on either blue (potable) MDPE water pipe or black (non-potable) MDPE water pipe. This fitting is WRAS approved and is able to withstand working pressures of up to 16bar / PN 16, allowing the regulation of flow. This MDPE compression range is fast and simple to use and includes the captive nitrile rubber O-ring seal, achieving a sealed system and providing protection against leaks. We recommend always trying to minimise the amount of joints used on any MDPE water installation wherever possible.

Tested to the following industry standards: ISO 17885 for Water Applications, AS/NZS 4129, ISO 7/1, BS 21, DIN 2999, UNI 9561, NEN 3258, AS 1722, DIN 8076. Polyacetal split rings and NBR o-rings, suitable for water, are supplied as standard. CPVC split rings and EPDM or FPM o-rings and seals are available on request. For aggressive chemical applications, the end user is advised to test suitability. Maximum temperature of use for fittings and valves is the same as the MDPE pipe, however they are not intended for use in hot water applications. They will however withstand sub-zero temperatures.

If you plan to run any water service underground, we would always recommend that the water pipe is buried in the ground inside a blue water duct system. A duct is designed to protect the pipe from damage and alert others to the presence of duct in the ground. Water caution marker tapes are commonly used as additional indications, alerting presence of the pipes. If this is your first time installing ducting, we would always recommend attaching a second drawcord to your pipe as this will enable you to easily install replacements at any point in the future, if required. Your duct system may also need duct access chambers depending on your project, which come in a various sizes to suit.
